According to Valerie Nome, writer for www.okmagazine.com, Demi talks about her new album, Don’t Forget, which is out in stores now.
“I think it will be more rock than pop than what people expect,”Demi tells Valerie Nome “It’s got a lot of messages that I wanted to get out. I want people to hear one song about feeling insecure and not always feeling beautiful. That’s one song that I hope girls will relate to. You are beautiful.”
I am excited to hear the album. I would say for most of Demi’s fans with would not matter if it was rock or pop. Also, I think it is wonderful that she has songs on her album, which have a message. There is nothing more important that to let people know that they are beautiful. That reminds me of one of my favorite songs right now is from Kellie Pickler, “Don’t You Know You’re Beautiful.”
No matter what, when you are around people, you also learn something from them. So what has Lovato learned for the singing sensation the Jonas Brothers.
“Take the high road. I’ve learned that from the boys – the Jonas Brothers – and two wrongs don’t make a right. They really help me out with the things I’m going through.”
Those are two great things that she has learned from the brothers.
Demi is not dating anyone as of yet, but she does share what type of boy that she is looking for.
“I’m not sure who, but it would be someone who is more intelligent than I am and who has a great sense of humor. It would be nice if we have the same style. I do wear a lot of black.”
So what does Lovato have to say about her best friend, Selena Gomez, “She’s honest, she’s loyal and she’s a good friend. We call each other on iChat every single minute of the day. In our free time, we watch movies – movies is our big thing – but we go bowling a lot, we just hang out at her house. We’re kind of losers on the weekends.”
Demi and Selena are just like their fans, and I do not mean the loser part. The fact that they hang out at each others’ homes, watch movies and bowl.
So can Demi give us any information on Camp Rock 2?
“I know as much as you do about Camp Rock 2,” she laughs. “Everyone’s like ‘you’re making the second one,’ and I’m like ‘really? I didn’t hear that.’ I mean, I guess there is a second one. I don’t know!”
As the Bell Rings
Post Barney, Demi Lovato was on Disney’s As The Bell Rings, which is a show that is in between the other Disney shows, according to Leah Greenblatt, writer for www.ew.com.
”Even though the show was only, like, five minutes, it was the Disney Channel!” Demi says. ”I thought it was the coolest thing.’ ‘But… ”When I got the part, I actually cried. I thought, I’m not going to be able to do this — I’m not funny! I’m never going to be able to work for the Disney Channel, because they’re based on comedy.”
Children can be mean, and that they were.
”I asked to leave public school,” Lovato says. ”I was kind of bullied. I had a hate wall in the bathroom, and everyone signed a petition that said ‘We all hate Demi Lovato.”’
There is no “kind of bullied,” she was. Being bullied comes in many forms.
”Imagine being new to Disney,” Demi says , ”and your first big job is being the romantic interest of one of the biggest heartthrobs on the channel. Any girl that is a friend of the Jonas Brothers gets hate mail and is automatically suspected as a girlfriend.”
Demi puts the rumors to rest about Joe Jonas and her dating.
”Joe and I never dated. We’re really good friends. I just think it’s funny that people try to pin me to them. It’s like, Oh, come on! I think [if I were going to] I would have dated one of them by now!”
There are still rumors that Miley is fighting with Selena and Demi. It just isn’t true.
“Um, I really don’t know Miley that well. We didn’t take offense or think it was a negative or a positive. It was just like, Okay, cool, Hannah Montana knows who I am!” Demi says. Miley and Demi recently even got to talk at a Disney concert. ”She gave me advice on publicity and making it big, and she was like, ‘I hope you’re very successful.’”
That was a great thing that Miley said.
Demi Hits #2 On Billboard Top 200

Way to go Demi!
Demi Was Bullied As a Child
According to www.people.com, Demi Lovato talked to Ellen DeGeneres about when she was being bullied.
“I never really understood why [I was being bullied] until looking back,” Demi says. Lovato was already a working actress, which made her an easy target for the other children to make fun of. “I had a different lifestyle then everyone else.”
Demi wants to help other girls who are being treated like she had been.
“I want to help with bullying,” Lovato says. “Because there are girls who can’t just up and home-school and focus on their career.”
People have been bullied from the being of time. Whether it has gotten worse, I am sure in some cases yes. The issue of people being bullied does need to be looked at. Hopefully, there will be a way.
Mean Girls Are Everywhere
Demi has been open lately about the fact that she had been bullied.
“There were a bunch of mean girls, and they made me feel really insecure,” Demi told the September 2008 Issue of M Magazine. “I was in the 7th grade, and I didn’t have any friends. I didn’t have anything on Friday or Saturday nights. In fact, I had to be home-schooled because I was threatened by bullies so much!”
I know that Demi and Selena did not go to the same schools, but I wonder how far away they were to each other.
“Being home-schooled was the best decision I ever made because that’s when I picked up the guitar since I was lonely. It was like my therapy….”
I wonder what those bullies are now thinking? Demi is now one of the hottest teen celebrities around.
