Demi Lovato Likes Big Bags

November 21st, 2008 by chel

According to www.aceshowbiz.com, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez is in the December/ January issue of Seventeen Magazine. There the girls talk about their “weakness for particular stuff in fashion styles.”

Demi told the magazine that she likes big bags.

“Right now I have a big bag [that I carry around], but sometimes I don’t carry it because I hate having the weight. I think Selena has rubbed off on me, she never carries a purse,” she admits.

Purses can be heavy, even when you do not plan on the purse to be heavy. By the time you throw in everything you need and maybe a couple of books, the bag is way too heavy to carry.

Congratulations

Demi Lovato has made EW’s list of the “10 Breakout Stars Of 2008.”

That is honor to have.

Congrads. Demi

Performance

“Demi Lovato of “Camp Rock,” will perform at the Wiltern in L.A. on Dec. 8. Tickets are $19.50-$29.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.”

Never Forget

In the October/ November Issue of Twist, Demi sat down and talked about her song - -Never Forget.

“It came from a personal experience, but it’s something I really can’t talk about,” Demi told the magazine.

“I was writing with the boys, and Nick played a few chords. Then we wrote the melody. I started writing the lyrics and Nick wrote them with me. It was really fun.”

Nick is a great person to help her out. A lot singers write from personal experience - - it’s a good way to have a hit song.

Body Issues

November 14th, 2008 by chel

According to the August 2008 issue of J-14 Magazine, Demi has had to deal with her body image.

It is wonderful to have a friend from whom you can borrow clothes.

“At my first premiere that I went to with her, Selena was wearing all my clothes. We always borrow each others jeans, and we have converse and switch them up on accident.”

Like many girls, young and old, Demi is not a big fan of wearing a bathing suit.

“She hates wearing bathing suites. I think it’s a girl thing,” said Selena,

I believe it is a girl thing. I do not hear that many guys complain about it. They seem not to care.

But Selena is trying to help Demi over come this situation.

“I think the toughest thing for me is being able to tell myself that I’m beautiful. Selena totally helped me through growing up and dealing with a changing figure and face. She’s always been there for me.”

It is hard to believe that Demi has trouble thinking she is beautiful because both Demi and

Selena are. Also, it is wonderful that they are there for each other.

Demi’s Bulling Isn’t Over

According to www.aceshowbiz.com and Demi’s myspace page, people are still bulling her.

“Sometimes [bullying] doesn’t just end in high school,” so she writes on her MySpace blog. “Sometimes I get online and read blogs (which I probably shouldn’t if I can’t handle it) and read the horrible things that people say in comments … and it can really take a toll on you.”

I can not believe she is still being bullied. Come on people.

“So as a message to everyone, please keep in mind when you’re about to threaten someone or make fun of them or leave blog comments about them, that what you say or do can truly affect someone. Cheesy and lame as it may sound, never forget the golden rule,” said Demi giving advice to her fans out there.

Here. Here. She is 100 percent right. Lets think about how we would feel if we were on the other side of the stick.

Demi’s Fashion

November 8th, 2008 by chel

Demi Lovato tells Valerie Nome , writer for OK! Magazine, that she looks up to Hayley Williams, lead singer for Paramore, when it comes to fashion sense.

“She has great style in her videos. I look up to her,” said Lovato.

So what about Demi’s fashion sense?

“I like to try and emphasize what I have, and not really look at other people.”

So what is Demi’s most important item to have while on tour? “When I get offstage, I’m sweating like a dog, so I’ll probably need to blow-dry my hair because it’ll be wet.”

“Wet” is not the word for it - -soaking wet would be a lot better.

Two are of Demi’s role models are, “Definitely Hilary Duff because she carried out a great career and she’s still going. And Christina Aguilera. She was on Mickey Mouse Club, and look at her now. She’s gotten so far.”

They are two great role models to have.

What would Lovato like to do when she is older.

“When I really, really grow up, I would like to continue this and also work as a director and continue writing.”

Great plans.

All Over The Car and Demi

Demi Lovato sat down with Twist Magazine (August 2008 Issue) and talked about her first audition disaster.

“One time, Selena and I were on a road trip to Austin, Texas for a Disney talent search. On the way, we stopped for strawberry milkshakes and drank them in the car. When we were done, my older sister, Dallas, threw hers out the car window. My backseat window happened to be down, so the milkshakes came in the car and splattered all over me and Selena! We had to wash our hair at a gas station on the way to the audition!”

When they got back to the car, Selena and Demi realized that they were not the only thing to get messy.

“When Selena and I were clean and back in the car, we realized the milkshake spilled on other things, so my sister started shaking out the window again to get the milkshake off. It got on us again!. I wanted to yell at her, but I didn’t, ” Lovato joked.

I personally am not sure I could have kept it together, especially when that day was such an important day.

But as you can tell, the day turned out great. Both Selena and Demi got roles with Disney. This is one of their favorite memories to talk about.

“When Selena and I were working on “Princess Protection Program” in Puerto Rico, we’d keep telling the rest of the cast about all our BFF memories! They’d be like, ‘Oh my gosh, another inside joke?!’ But we always try to include everyone in our jokes and memories. We can laugh about it now!”

I am sure that many of their fans would love to hear more of their memories like this.

Bullied and Demi’s Sister

Demi Lovato talks to “US Weekly” Issue 714 for October 20, 2008, about being bullied.

“I asked to leave public school. I was kind of bullied . . . Everyone signed a petition that said

We All HATE

Demi Lovato.”

That is just not right at all, and to do that to someone is down right mean. For Demi and everyone else that is being bullied today. It is not the “cool” thing to do.

Demi also talked about her sister Madison de la Garza, who is on the hit show “Desperate House Wives.” Madison is 6 years old, and she is Demi’s half- sister. Madison plays Eva Longoria Parker’s eldest daughter. Right now, the story line is about her weight.

“We are very protective of her, [and] I have heard that [writers and producers; have been really good about not hurting her feelings at all. There’s a controversy, but you know what, if we were to take her out of that position, it would have been so bad. She Loves doing what she loves, and she’s awesome.” Demi told US Magazine.

Demi continues, “I love to see her face light up when she watches her episodes!”

As long as Madison is happy, and the story line doesn’t bother her, than let her keep doing what she loves.

Demi Wants a Hybrid

October 25th, 2008 by chel

According to www.pr-inside.com, when Demi gets her drivers license she want a hybrid car just like her best friend, Selena Gomez.

“I said in an interview a long time ago that I wouldn’t drive a car unless it was a hybrid so my parents laughed and I was like yeah let’s get a Mercedes and they were like yeah- those aren’t hybrids,”Demi said.

Demi’s Dad

According to J-14 magazine, Patrick , Demi’s Dad, told “Star” that he hasn’t seen her in four years.

Demi parents divorced. She stayed in Texas with her mom. Her father moved.

Demi has recently seen her dad.

“I was at my dad’s house when I heard a knock on the door.” Patrick tells the magazine. “And there was Demi! I couldn’t believe how beautiful she is. The first thing she said to me was, ‘Hey. Partner. . . I love you!’ We threw our arms around each other and began to cry. We have a special relationship that’ll never change, no matter how big she becomes.”

But do remember that the relationship door opens both ways.

Demi Has Been Rejected By Some of Her Crushes

October 18th, 2008 by chel

According to the September 2008 issue of “M” Magazine, Demi has been rejected by her crushes several times.

“I’ve been rejected by different crushes several times!”

I bet they feel stupid now.

“The first time I was rejected, I was like, ‘How do I make him jealous?’ But that’s not the way to do it. You have to tell yourself, ‘He’s not worth it to me anymore!”

It is normal to make him jealous, but it is hard to do.

“To get over a guy, I write about the situation and then I can move on!”

A lot of writers do, just ask Taylor Swift. I have even done it.

“The guy I was singing about actually heard the song and was like, ‘Wow, that’s pretty harsh.’ But I told him, ‘I write about what I feel!’”

So what does Demi look for in a guy?

“I like loyal guys who are honest with you. I hate when a boy leads you on and then leaves you for another girl. My big sis Dallas tells me, ‘There’s no rush to find a BF right now. You have you whole life for boys!”

Dallas did give Demi great advice.. A lot of teens around 13 and up feel like they have to have a boyfriend now. They feel that they are losers if they do not have one. That doesn’t make them losers. It is good for you to take your time and find Mr. Right, and more than likely you are not going to find him when you are around 13.

Demi Is A Great Friend

October 11th, 2008 by chel

According to www.mtv.com, Selena Gomez talked about how much she would love to have her best friend, Demi Lovato on Wizards. There is a good chance that Demi will make an appearance on Selena’s show

“We’re working on [a cameo],” Gomez said. “We’d love to have Demi on ['Wizards.'] And I’d love to be a guest star on her show.”

I look forward to both Demi and Selena appearing on each other’s show.

Demi also plans on making as many videos from her album, Don’t Forget.

“I just shot a video for ‘Get Back,’ and it turned out awesome,” she said. “Hopefully, we’ll do that with more of the songs, and hopefully, you’ll like them.”

Miley and Demi Are Not Fighting - - Also

According to Jocelyn Vena, writer for www.mtv.com, Demi Lovato went to Miley Cyrus’ Sweet 16 party at Disney Land. Some of the other people who were there are David Archuleta, Steve Carell, Cindy Crawford, Jennie Garth, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Tyra Banks, along with “Hannah Montana” co-stars Cody Linley and Emily Osment.

“If we weren’t cool, I definitely wouldn’t have gotten her a nice gift,” Demi Lovato told MTV News. “I pinky promise!”

Selena Talks About Demi

Selena and Demi have been best friends since both girls got a role on Barney. Selena Gomez dishes about Demi to the September 2008 Issue of M magazine.

“I trust Demi completely, ” Selena said. “She understands every little thing about my life, my family, all of the things I’ve gone through. It’s so important that I know I can lean on her - - no matter what. There’s nothing she doesn’t know about me. I don’t think I could shock her if I tried.”

When you have that close of a friend it is hard to shock them. They know.

“Demi went t a different school than me in Texas and dealt with the whole ‘mean girl’ thing a bit more than I did. Demi really let it affect her because she actually let their opinion matter. But we’ve both leaned a lot since then. Now, we just don’t listen to what rude people say about us. It’s a shame that bullies in the end being the person will just make us stronger!”

I have no clue why bullies are that way. But they should stand and think how they feel if they were the ones being bullied. It makes me sick thinking about bullies.

Don’t Forget - - is in Stores Now

October 3rd, 2008 by chel

According to Valerie Nome, writer for www.okmagazine.com, Demi talks about her new album, Don’t Forget, which is out in stores now.

“I think it will be more rock than pop than what people expect,”Demi tells Valerie Nome “It’s got a lot of messages that I wanted to get out. I want people to hear one song about feeling insecure and not always feeling beautiful. That’s one song that I hope girls will relate to. You are beautiful.”

I am excited to hear the album. I would say for most of Demi’s fans with would not matter if it was rock or pop. Also, I think it is wonderful that she has songs on her album, which have a message. There is nothing more important that to let people know that they are beautiful. That reminds me of one of my favorite songs right now is from Kellie Pickler, “Don’t You Know You’re Beautiful.”

No matter what, when you are around people, you also learn something from them. So what has Lovato learned for the singing sensation the Jonas Brothers.

“Take the high road. I’ve learned that from the boys – the Jonas Brothers – and two wrongs don’t make a right. They really help me out with the things I’m going through.”

Those are two great things that she has learned from the brothers.

Demi is not dating anyone as of yet, but she does share what type of boy that she is looking for.

“I’m not sure who, but it would be someone who is more intelligent than I am and who has a great sense of humor. It would be nice if we have the same style. I do wear a lot of black.”

So what does Lovato have to say about her best friend, Selena Gomez, “She’s honest, she’s loyal and she’s a good friend. We call each other on iChat every single minute of the day. In our free time, we watch movies – movies is our big thing – but we go bowling a lot, we just hang out at her house. We’re kind of losers on the weekends.”

Demi and Selena are just like their fans, and I do not mean the loser part. The fact that they hang out at each others’ homes, watch movies and bowl.

So can Demi give us any information on Camp Rock 2?

“I know as much as you do about Camp Rock 2,” she laughs. “Everyone’s like ‘you’re making the second one,’ and I’m like ‘really? I didn’t hear that.’ I mean, I guess there is a second one. I don’t know!”

As the Bell Rings

Post Barney, Demi Lovato was on Disney’s As The Bell Rings, which is a show that is in between the other Disney shows, according to Leah Greenblatt, writer for www.ew.com.

”Even though the show was only, like, five minutes, it was the Disney Channel!” Demi says. ”I thought it was the coolest thing.’ ‘But… ”When I got the part, I actually cried. I thought, I’m not going to be able to do this — I’m not funny! I’m never going to be able to work for the Disney Channel, because they’re based on comedy.”

Children can be mean, and that they were.

”I asked to leave public school,” Lovato says. ”I was kind of bullied. I had a hate wall in the bathroom, and everyone signed a petition that said ‘We all hate Demi Lovato.”’

There is no “kind of bullied,” she was. Being bullied comes in many forms.

”Imagine being new to Disney,” Demi says , ”and your first big job is being the romantic interest of one of the biggest heartthrobs on the channel. Any girl that is a friend of the Jonas Brothers gets hate mail and is automatically suspected as a girlfriend.”

Demi puts the rumors to rest about Joe Jonas and her dating.

”Joe and I never dated. We’re really good friends. I just think it’s funny that people try to pin me to them. It’s like, Oh, come on! I think [if I were going to] I would have dated one of them by now!”

There are still rumors that Miley is fighting with Selena and Demi. It just isn’t true.

“Um, I really don’t know Miley that well. We didn’t take offense or think it was a negative or a positive. It was just like, Okay, cool, Hannah Montana knows who I am!” Demi says. Miley and Demi recently even got to talk at a Disney concert. ”She gave me advice on publicity and making it big, and she was like, ‘I hope you’re very successful.’”

That was a great thing that Miley said.

Demi Hits #2 On Billboard Top 200

Woo Hoo! According to www.marketwatch.com, Camp Rock start, Demi Lovato’s album, “Don’t Forget,” which is on Disney Hollywood Records debuts at # 2 on the Billboard Top 200. Lovato’s album has, so far, sold around 88,973.

Way to go Demi!

Demi Was Bullied As a Child

According to www.people.com, Demi Lovato talked to Ellen DeGeneres about when she was being bullied.

“I never really understood why [I was being bullied] until looking back,” Demi says. Lovato was already a working actress, which made her an easy target for the other children to make fun of. “I had a different lifestyle then everyone else.”

Demi wants to help other girls who are being treated like she had been.

“I want to help with bullying,” Lovato says. “Because there are girls who can’t just up and home-school and focus on their career.”

People have been bullied from the being of time. Whether it has gotten worse, I am sure in some cases yes. The issue of people being bullied does need to be looked at. Hopefully, there will be a way.

Mean Girls Are Everywhere

Demi has been open lately about the fact that she had been bullied.

“There were a bunch of mean girls, and they made me feel really insecure,” Demi told the September 2008 Issue of M Magazine. “I was in the 7th grade, and I didn’t have any friends. I didn’t have anything on Friday or Saturday nights. In fact, I had to be home-schooled because I was threatened by bullies so much!”

I know that Demi and Selena did not go to the same schools, but I wonder how far away they were to each other.

“Being home-schooled was the best decision I ever made because that’s when I picked up the guitar since I was lonely. It was like my therapy….”

I wonder what those bullies are now thinking? Demi is now one of the hottest teen celebrities around.

“Sonny with a Chance”

September 27th, 2008 by chel

There has been a new name changed for Demi Lovato new show. It is now called “Sonny with a Chance,” according to www.aceshowbiz.com.

The show is about, “a girl named Sonny having a chance to make it in [show] business,” Demi told Spanish magazine Para Todos.

Demi told the magazine that the cast and her have already filmed the first episode, and they “will continue to film the series through the next few months.”

The show is scheduled to be released in February or March 2009.

Demi’s Crush on a Close Friend

Demi Lovato sat down with J-14 Magazine (Aug 2008 Issue), and talked about a dating disaster, when she had a crush on a close friend.

“I’m sitting there and I go to make a pinky promise - - I make those all the time - - and when I do that, it flips my coffee into my lap.”

If that is not bad enough, Demi is wearing a skirt.

“The entire Starbucks cup flipped over and it was completely full. I ran to the bathroom,” Demi told the magazine. “At first, I just sat there like, ‘This is awkward!’ And I hid my head in my head in my face and I was like, ‘Oh my God! This is so embarrassing!’”

Even though I have not spilled anything in my lap, at least yet, I do have a problem staying clean when I eat or drink anything. I feel for her.

Watch Out for Surfing!

In August 2008 Issue of J-14 Magazine Demi talked to the magazine about one of her beach bloopers.

“I was in a bikini, and I was surfing with the cast of Wizards . Selena [Gomez] and Jennifer [Stone] were out in the ocean with me. I went underwater and my top untied. As I was tying that up, my bottom fell down! But luckily in L.A the beach has nasty water, so you can’t see much.”

For some reason, I am thinking of a lake or pound when Demi talks about the water. I do not remember the water being that bad when I went to California, but maybe it was another beach or it could have been because it has been awhile ago. On bathing suites, I would have to say . . . If I were to wear one, it would be a one piece. It cuts some of my chances down of saying “ooopps.”
