Demi Lovato sat down to talk with the February/ March 2009 Issue of GL magazine.

“I saw people wearing T-shirts that say ’Team Miley’ or ‘Team whatever’ and I walked up to them and was like, ‘How about Team Disney?’ And they totally freaked out because they were like, ‘Oh, I wasn’t expecting to see you.’ People make up stupid rumors and feuds that aren’t true, and I think it’s really funny.”

No matter what Demi does not give up, especially when it comes to her career.

“I’m definitely very ambitious. I’ve always known I was supposed to do this, ever since I was really, really young. I saw what I wanted in my dreams, and then I worked hard.”

Working hard can get you a long way.

Demi did not realize how famous she was until she was on tour with the Jonas Brother on her Sweet 16 birthday.

“Everyone was singing happy birthday to me – - and by everyone, I mean 20,000 people at my concert. That was the moment when I said, ‘Wow, my life is not the same, but it’s even better.’”

Not every part of being famous is glamorous.

“I remember when my name started showing up online, I’s read it because I thought it was cool that people were taking about me. But when I realized that’s not so glamorous either. I think everyone perceives this business to be a little bit more glamorous than it actually is.”

When a fan approached her on the street. “I was visiting some friends at a Disney event, and Camp Rock hadn’t even come out yet. This girl screamed and started crying, I was like, ‘That was the coolest thing ever, I’m never going to forget you!’ and I haven’t.”

When she met the Jonas Brothers. “I met them at a screen test, and I was so excited. We instantly clicked, talking about mutual friends we knew back in Texas.”

First movie that made her cry. “Titanic. I boo-hooed. At the end when people started to fall off the boat, I just started wailing. It got to the point where my mom told me to put my hand over my mouth because I was the loudest person in the theater and I was disturbing people.”

I know how she felt. Titanic made me cry and I felt so bad for those people. It is hard for me to watch that movie again. You would have thought I would have been prepared. It wasn’t like I did not know what was going to happen because I did. It is just one of those movies.
