Demi Lovato Shows Off New Look With Short Black Hair

Demi Lovato Shows Off New Look With Short Black Hair

In a new Twitpic, the former ‘Sonny with a Chance’ starlet is seen going back to brunette and finishing off her look with a cross necklace and a nose stud.

has made some change on her look. On Tuesday night, December 27, the 19-year-old songstress posted on Twitter a picture of her rocking short black hair with bangs. She is seen wearing a black tank top and completing her new look with a cross necklace and a nose stud.

“Hey guys… Like my new look? :P ,” so Demi wrote along with the picture. The starlet, who is a natural brunette, quickly assured fans that she didn’t cut her hair. “It’s just a wig that I got today!! Hehe… Don’t freak ;) ” she tweeted before adding. “I miss my black hair :( .”

Though missing her old hair, the former star of “Sonny with a Chance” will not ditch her newly-dyed red locks anytime soon. She tweeted, “@TheHannaBeth Hahahaha I gotta stay red for awhile.” She added, “@ninezeroonesalon will get mad at me!!! Haha!!”

‘I miss being a brunette’: Redhead Demi Lovato sports bobbed wig in Twitter snap

Demi Lovato is rapidly becoming a hair chameleon.

The 19-year-old pop star tweeted a photograph of herself last night with a sleek new bobbed hairdo.

Her fans did a double take when they saw the snap, as her locks had been both red and halfway down her back the day before.

Alas, her new look was merely a wig the Unbroken singer had purchased for fun.

She tweeted the sexy new shot of herself with a glam ’20s-era ebony bob last night with the caption: ‘Hey guys…Like my new look? :P ’.

She quickly hastened to add: ‘It’s just a wig that I got today!! Hehe…Don’t freak ;) ’.

The former Disney star explained that her reason for buying a wig wasn’t costume party related, but because she missed her old ‘do.

‘I miss my black hair :( ‘ she told her followers.

The starlet announced that she was first making a major hair change back in November, and no one could have guessed she’d choose a crimson colour.

She told a friend over Twitter that, like it or not, her new red shade is here to stay for the time being.

‘I gotta stay red for awhile…@ninezeroonesalon will get mad at me!!! Haha!!!’ she wrote.

This display of sensitivity towards her hairdresser isn’t the only clear sign that Lovato is a good girl.

She was recently named as one of DoSomething.org’s most giving celebrities of 2011.

The starlet also isn’t afraid to say how she really feels, when she believes she’s been wronged.

The Skyscraper singer – who earlier this year spoke about her own battle with bulimia – issued a series of incredulous tweets after catching a repeat episode of her former television network’s show, Shake It Up.

The offending remark came from an actress playing a supermodel, who told characters Rocky, played by 15-year-old Zendaya Coleman and Cece (14-year-old Bella Thorne): ‘I could just eat you up, well if I ate.’

After quitting the show Sonny With a Chance earlier this year to battle her own problems in rehab, the flame-haired starlet clearly did not take this insensitivity well.

She fired a furious tweet saying: ‘I find it really funny how a company can lose one of their actresses from the pressures of an EATING DISORDER and yet still make joke about that very disease….. #nice.’

She also questioned: ‘What are we promoting here? #notfunnyATALL.’

Demi Lovato Chastises Disney Bosses For Tv Joke About Eating Disorders

Demi Lovato sent Disney bosses into a spin over Christmas (11) after attacking them via Twitter.com on Friday (23Dec11) for airing a joke about eating disorders on one of their hit TV shows.

The 19-year-old singer/actress, who enrolled in a rehab programme last year (10) to deal with bulimia and other issues, became angry when she watched an episode of popular show Shake It Up, during which one of the characters quipped, “I could just eat you up. Well, if I ate.”

The joke didn’t sit well with Lovato, who quit her lead role on Disney show Sonny With a Chance earlier this year (11), and she took to her Twitter blog to vent her fury.

In a series of tweets, she wrote, “I find it really funny how a company can lose one of their actress’ from the pressures of an Eating Disorder and yet still make jokes about that very disease. nice.”

Referring to former child stars Raven-Symone and Hilary Duff, she added, “And is it just me or are the actress(es) (on Disney Channel) getting Thinner And Thinner…. I miss the days of Raven, and Lizzie Mcguire.”

But Lovato wasn’t done – she also sent a tweet directly to Disney, writing, “Dear Disney Channel, Eating DisorderS ARE NOT SOMETHING TO JOKE ABOUT.”

Disney representatives caught sight of the star’s angry tweets hours later and issued an apology to Lovato, insisting they would be taking action to prevent offending other viewers.

A spokesperson replied, “we hear you & are pulling both episodes as quickly as possible & reevaluating them… It’s Never our intention to make light of eating disorders!”

Accepting the apology, a satisfied Lovato wrote back, “thank you”.

HollywoodNews.com: Disney may have been a little careless when they made a joke about eating disorderson their show ‘Shake It Up.’

The show ended up using the line “I could just eat you up, well if I ate” on the show, but not everyone was okay with it, states TMZ.

After the joke was made, Demi Lovato, who used to be on Disney’s ‘Sonny With a Chance,’ took to Twitter to react.

“I find it really funny how a company can lose one of their actress’ from the pressures of an EATINGDISORDER and yet still make joke about that very disease….. #nice,” Demi tweeted.

But it seems Disney heard her as they tweeted back: “We hear you & are pulling both episodes as quickly as possible & reevaluating them … It’s NEVER our intention to make light of eating disorders!”

What do you think about this?
